Hawk Ceramic Or Hawk HPS

I am running out of brakes ( well ran out of brakes ) and i need to get new replacements. I have already went out and gotten cross drilled and slotted rotors and now i am just trying to figure out the type of brake pad that i want. I know that i want to go with hawk simply because from what i have been reading they are the absolute best. Now here is the delemma i hear alot of good things about both their Ceramic and HPS brakes. I was leaning toward the ceramic but now i dont know if anyone could voice opinions it would be greatly appreciated. First just so that you know, i dont go offroading AT ALL, i like my truck to be clean and i am getting crome twenty two's in about a week. I am not a speed demon and i dont think that i ever really need to slam on my brakes, and i like for there not to be a squeal while breaking.

Ps. Do the HPS really out live the Ceramics. Also do the ceramics make it harder to brake then the OEM's. By that i mean do they brake at least as well or better than the stocks.

I went through the same dilema as you are. I researched alot of pads, including both of the Hawks you speak of, but decided on the EBC Greenstuff instead. They produce little dust, and bite hard. If you absolutely must use the hawks, try the HPS.

I went with PRO CERAMIC pads and I love them! They work awesome with my cross drilled/slotted rotors. I didn't come across EBC Greenstuff until after I already installed the new brakes, heard lots of good things about the green stuff, they seem to work good. Think I'll stick with the PRO CERAMIC pads.
My 2 cents..............Rockafella

Deviant,
Try Akenbonos they are great. No dust at all and will work well with your rotors. Try Rockauto.com, they have a super price on these right now. It will be worth your time to give them a call.

Deviant, which pads did you go with? I am considering the Hawk Ceramics and was wondering if you went that route.

Thanks for the info. How's the dust issue with the HPS's so far?

Deviant,
Where did you get your cross drilled and slotted rotors? How is the dusting with the Hawk HPS pads? Are you cleaning your 22's every other day?
