Has anyone else had problems with the open country tires tearing on the sidewall?The tire didn't blow, just has a gash in it. This is the second one to do so. The people I bought it from replaced the first one, but they thought I hit a curb to cause it to tear. It definately rubbed on something(probably a curb while parking) but not at any speed.

 

Nope, I've got 50,000 on mine, and they have been great.

 

I've never heard of any problems with them, but a curb will cut any sidewall.

 

I'm talking at slow speeds, such as when parking. these are all terraine tires. This should not happen when out 4x4'n and maybe hitting some rocks,should it?

 

If you hit a curb or rock just right, it will cut the sidewall.
