Because my dad got cheap and wouldn't buy me 4wd so I must make up for his cheapness.

Have you checked out Cooper Discovers STT they are an excellence tire and offer a fairly radical tread. Just do a web search for pics. I had 265 75R16 mounted on my truck around $600. That's like $150 a tire.

I understand that but thats not my point.

Since your truck is a 2wd, I'd highly recomend a GOOD A/T tire because a M/T is just going to cause you to dig yourself a hole.

go with the buckshot maxxis produces some good tires that is what I have they are damn good pair of tires. I think mine are 8 ply. There has never been anything that I won't drive over I have not came across a board of nails, maybe I have and I didn't notice but they take a beating. One time I had a fire hydrant like half an inch in the tire, the other time i was pulling next to a dumpster and snagged the bar to close it and it went into my tire over an inch. I backed up and it didn't puncture it. You really want something that can take a beating cuz you never know what you will come across in a pit of mud; roots, bottles, glass, screws, nails, boards, etc. I have never been stuck since I have had them been pretty close though.... They are not loud at all either. I kind of wish they were loud they produce a slight hum, not to bad in the rain. I currently have screw in my right front one that I need to take to discount. Tires are a lot more expensive for bigger rims in case you didn't know, that can be a big factor so you might consider 15"

EDIT: can you put a locker or something in the back? One of my friend did something to his 2wd truck and he could keep up. I rarely actually use 4wd, it is more fun to slip, slide, and get stuck

That'd be great but you can't fit anything less than a 18" wheel and some 17" wheels including the stock 17" wheels of course.

I'd go with the BFG A/T KO, Nitto Terra Grappler, or the Toyo Open Country A/T. I've had the BFG A/T KOs and the Nitto Terra Grapplers, they both are very good tires. The Toyo is essentially the same tire as the Nitto.

The calipers won't clear.

I paid $800 for my 325/60/18 Nitto Terra Grapplers. Which equal a 33x13x18 so for your size it should be a little bit cheaper. I'd contact Discount Tire.
