Maxxis/Buckshot wear

I'm in the market for some of these......305/70/17 and I was told they wear pretty quick.....as in probably expect 30K out of them. Is this true?

Trying to figure out if I should go the Buckshot route or BFG route.

I've got them in 305/70/17 and they wear pretty well. You have to remember 30K out of a mud tire is pretty good. I'm happy with mine as far as traction, wear, and road noise. You probably won't get much more than 30K with the BFG's either depending on your driving style.

I'm fairly easy on tires....heck my stock goodyears have some pretty good tread left on them w/ 52K miles so far, I just can't stand them. I should have said the BFG All terrains...not mud terrain. I was hoping to get a little longer wear out of the Buckshots...guess not though.

Just about any AT will get better tread life than an MT tire.

OK thats what I was thinking. I'm not going to be hitting the mud a whole lot....I like the look of the Buckshots but I'd rather get the extended mileage with the AT's.

Are the BFG KO's AT's what everybody seems to like?

The BFG's are great tires. I have a little over 45,000 miles on my AT KO's and should make it to 60,000.

I've run the Maxxis Buckshots and the Maxxis Bighorns. The Buckshots wear a little quicker than the Bighorns but I have been pleased with both. The AT's will, no doubt, give you longer life.

there are always some deals to be found on ebay.
Your best bet is to start looking at wheels though, and find a style you like or find a particular rim, then narrow it down that way.
