Torsion bar adjustment???

Torsion bar adjustment???
I just had a pair of 295/17/70 Grapplers A/T put on my truck, but they told me they needed to make a torsion bar adjustment in order to make them fit. I've been told that adjusting the torsion bar can change how your truck handles, but the guys at the shop told me that a minor adjustment would not make much of a difference. So I told them to go ahead b/c I did not want to spend the money on a lift kit.
Since the work was done, I have noticed that the truck seems more responsive..almost too responsive...as I turn the steering wheel. Anybody know if this is normal, and/or how concerned I should be about this? I don't want to sacrifice my safety just b/c I was not patient enough to save up some money for a lift kit.
Thanks for the advice.
BTW, the new tires look outstanding on the MT Classic II rims I have. I need to get some pictures up...

if the shop that raised your torsion bars had an alignment done on it also you should be ok. Raising the torsion bars and bigger tires will also effect your center of gravity causing the truck to possibly feel more unstable. If you do not feel comfortable with this I would go back to the factory setup.

The adjustment may not be the only reason you feel the truck is responding more aggressively. With the factory setup you had softer front suspension setting and softer tires. I am not sure but the new tires are probably a heavier truck tire than the stock ones. Between the tighter setting on your tortion bars and the stiffer sidewalls on your new tires your truck will bite in turns a little better. I know because I just did the same thing in my 02 screw. From stock t-bar setting and stock tires to Courser AT 285 75 16s (33s) and a t-bar tweak to help them clear.
As long as you had an allignment after your suspension was adjusted you'll be OK. You'll get used to the ride and handle and will actually appreciate it when you get off road. If you feel ( for lack of better terms ) floaty when you go down the road try upping your tore pressure in 5lb incraments and it will minimize dramatically. the tire stores tend to set your tire pressure pretty low from the start.
Hope this helps!!!
