Am Confused... Will these fit?

Sorry to sound like and idiot but I am getting confused from all the research I have been doing. Some people say it can fit while Everbody else is saying that I cannot fit 315's in without a lift.

One last time.... Can I fit BFG AT/KO 315/70/17 stock rims on my 2003 Supercrew 4x4 with out any lift and just removing front valence + triming front bumper a little + moving step board back by and inch + cranking the torsion bars +not wheels turning fully to prevent rubbing?

Do you also suggest i change my rims (for proper offsetting)? What specs (size and offset) of rims should I get? I really do not want to lift my truck any.

A lot of people do not suggest this because of the size of my engine (4.6L)? How bad will it be? Will it be bad in traffic or on the highway?

What do you think of Maxxis Bighorn 305/70/17? I suppose these will be smaller ? Will these do a lot for my loss of power as compared to the BFGs? I really like the BFGs but if the Maxxis will significantly give me more power for the insignificant size difference, i might consider these instead.

Thank you for your help.

I suggest the 305s. The 315s, if they fit, will look very stuffed.
305s are about a 33x12.5, 315s are about a 35" diameter.

I think if you get 305/70R16s with a 16x10 rim (or the 17" wheel equivalent), youd be set...especially if you dont want to lift it.

You will notice a good bit of power loss with 315/70-17's (35x12.50) and a 4.6. I wouldn't do it, but they will fit, if you keep the OEM wheels. You will have minor rubbing on the frame at full steering lock. The 305/70-17's are basically a 34x12.50, so they won't be much better. Personally, I'd stick with a 33 inch tire like a 285/70-17 (33x11.50) or a 33x12.50-17.

wandell is right

I would go with the 285's unless you don't need to go very far and you don't have to turn to get there
