ABS light

My abs light is on in my 1999 F150. I have the 5.4 V8, my friend has the same problem and he says its just a spark plud or something. When i slam the breaks nothing happens i just stop good. Should i get this checked out or are other ppl having this same problem?

Click on SEARCH, select Advanced SEARCH, and enter "ABS Light" as your SEARCH keyword. Select Titles only. Be sure to include the quotation marks. Read at least half a dozen threads before doing anything.

Very common question with the same very common answers....

Sounds like the ABS sensor in the rear-end has gone out. Easily removed and replaced. Has nothing to do with spark plug.

The idea is to get him to learn to do some research....followed by some troubleshooting.

It could be that sensor, but it could be a number of other things, also.

Of course, it isn't a spark plug. He needs some friends that actually have a clue.

Whatever your problem is with the ABS, be advised that your hydralic brake system will function normally. You just won't have the anti-lock feature. Just be aware of this when driving in slick conditions.
