Looking into new wheels and tires. Want to stick with a 17 inch wheel with a 315/70 BFG tire I dont want them to stick out. Would a 5.5 inch Backspacing or a 6.0 backspacing be ideal?

What are these wheels/backspacing/offest?

Both of those are Weld wheels, but I don't know how wide they are or what the backspacing is. Just to give you a starting point, your OEM wheels are 7.5 inches wide with 5.5 inches of backspacing. So, with a wider aftermarket wheel, I'd want at least 5.5 inches of backspacing.

 

Thanks... I am just trying to figure out what the best no rub width/backspacing combo would be. I have a 4 inch rancho system and will probably do 315s. I like the above pics because the tires dont stick out.

with the 315's, you're probably going to want a 17x9" wheel (assuming you stay with 17"s anyway).

Like wandell said, 5x5" also seems pretty common for backspacing on those wheels.
