Thanks again for the tire size - help comments from all and can't wait to post a pic of the new wheels because I have not seen the ones I bought on another F-150.
Which wheel did you end up getting?

Sprios: Yes I found some black wheels and found ones like yours at Discount Tires after seeing picks of your ride which inspired me even more to look for black but I ended up getting hot on a set of all-chrome Arielle's mounted on 305X45X22 Toyo's. Atfer they were special ordered and finally delivered Wednesday, I finally got them installed this afternoon and I do like them; much deeper wheel than others I was looking at and that was a problem I had with the black 22's I found, just didn't look deep enough to me. Sprio's, your truck does look tight indeed, nice job with the MB's mounted on Hankook's.

The whole reason I started the article was related to ride quality and was surprised to the incredible ride after the new rims, very little difference in the old 18" BF's and the wife already commented on how the truck sits even higher now on the 22's yet there is a lot less space in the fender wheel. I drove it around a bit tonight and am loving the new shoes. Going to put a carnauba wax job on it tomorrow and snap some pics and post to share.

Thanx again for all the positive feedback from everyone.
Glad to be rid of the factory rims - so glad.

congrats bro,

i can't wait to see them. the space in the fender does kinda bug but in my opinion a small levelling kit can take care of that job no problem. as for ride quality, you may feel a slight shimmy in your steering wheel at 65 mph, but that just means drive faster

$2700 w/tax - out the door. A few hundred more than I wanted to spend originally but the Toyo's jacked the price up a bit and I was cool with that given the tire. Here's a pic of the new shoes.

22" Arelli Jovan's on 305X45X22 Toyo Proxes

i got the 24's on 4/20 hahahaha but ne ways i noticed a huge difference i run a 305/35/24 and its turns, handles, and stops completely different .... but somewhat smoother because of the larger wheel circumference , if you get a 40 series or above your ride will be smooth

get the looks with the big shoes

I love my 22's. I wanted 24's but I use my truck sometimes to haul stuff for work. So a 35 series tire would have just been to risky with all the crap on construction sites.
