2.5" daystar leveling kit and tire combo?

I have a 2006 XF4 flareside with 20" wheels. I have a 2.5" daystar leveling kit I'm going to install. I want to replace my 275-55-20 tires with a larger tire. How big can I go without rubbing? I think I remember reading 35" tires with no problem. Anybody have any facts about this or is this just my wishful thinking? what would be the correct numeral for this size tire, 295-65-20? thank you

you should be ok with 35's im not sure what the rim width is on the stock 20's--that & the approved rim width for your tire (295/60/R20) will help you decide. if you have anything at all, it would be a little rubbing at full crank...

what kind of tire are you looking at?

my rim width is 8" I think.. I'm looking at a set of Nitto grabbler or BF Goodrich A/T any suggestions? I want something quiet but something that will dig. the pirelli scorpions that are on it now are helpless in the snow.

the Nitto Terra Grapplers seem to be a great tire, and popular- for your rim the 20x8's the 35's are:
LT325/60 R20 121R 15.6 35.12 12.91 (9.5)-10.5
the 33's are:
LT305/55 R20 121S 15.6 33.07 12.60 9.0-(9.5)-10.0
and the 32's are:
305/50 R20 120S 13.9 32.09 12.20 8.5-(9.5)-11.0
you'd be fine with any of those probably- but like i said, the 35's will run fine most likely, but you could encounter a rub- notin too serious.
