Stock Offset and Backspace

Ok, I was wondering some of the same questions about how offset and backspace works like other folks.

Now that I understand that, I'm wondering if anyone knows what the stock offset and backspacing are for my 05 SCrew King Ranch with the 18" KR wheels?

Any input is appreciated!

Your wheels are 18x7.5 inches with 5 1/2 inches of backspacing.

Wow! Only 7.5" wide! I would have thought they'd at least be 8" or 8.5".

Thanks.

Does anyone know the offset?

I'm trying to make a calculation to see how much more one set of wheels will stick out than another and relate it to the stock configuration.

I'm a programmer/geek by trade and I'm doing a spreadsheet.

Thanks,

Duhhh!
I just had an epiphany (I think).

Does this calculation look correct?

7.5" (width) - 3.75" (half of width) = 3.75"

5.5" backspacing - 3.75" (from above) = 1.75"

1.75" converted to mm -> 1.75*25.4 = 44.45mm offset <- Seems like a large number?

That would be a negative offset so the wheels stay under the fender.

????

I believe the stock offset is +30mm. The positive is because the wheel mounting surface is to the outward side of the center of the wheel width.I posted this link on another thread to help explain

http://www.wheelsforless.com/offset_diagram.asp

Remember wheel width is measured from between the beads and backspace is from the back lip of the wheel.the extra 14mm in your calculations is most likely the distance from the rim lip to the inner bead.
