front left wheel squells, quiet when hit brakes

The pads are good, I changed them like 6 months ago. To double check, I pulled the wheel and looked at the pads today, they still have ALOT of pad left.

I also used that orange "disk brake quiet" to when i put the new pads on. I've changed a number of brakes, I'm not sure why it's making noise. I also checked the rotor for any wierd grooves, they look fine. Also checked the rotors metal shield and that is not contacting the rotor as I can see either.....

Anyway, anyone know what would make my front right wheel make squelling noises(pretty much all the time) until I hit the brakes??? WHen the brakes are applied, it's quiet.

It could be an axle seal. A bad axle seal will squeal and sound almost like a ringing in your ears. My 01 had one go out.

Mine went out under warranty so I took to the dealer. They had to pull it apart to find out. Sorry I can't be of more help.
