6" suspension lift with stock 17" rims need largest rubber...

I am adding a 6" suspension lift to my 2005 f150. I want to put the largest tires on the stock rims. What can I get under there? I know a 315/70/17 is like a 34.4X12.2 inch tire, but is that it?

Your stock wheel is only 7.5" wide...I think you should try to get a wider wheel if you want to put a 35" tire on there, although I have seen people do it.

I'd go with the 315/70's. Later you can add wider wheels which will make the tire appear larger.

Anyone know of a cheap temporary rim that would be better then stock, ie: American racing rims, the all black ones or something similiar that could ultimately turn into my winter rims/tires?
