Tell me what u all think!

I am new here so hello to u all. Tell me what u think. I wanted my truck to look a little taller and beefier. 1st off i have a 2006 F150 4x4 with the 5.4 triton 3valve v8 i just bought 1 week ago. This is what i think i am going to go with. 2 inch's of lift in the front for leveling. The Mickey Thompson 18x10 rims with 6inch back space, and the 33x13 terra grapplers. Everyone please tell me what u think. I want to do it right the 1st time...lol

Sounds sweet. I'd suggest the 2.5 inch Autospring leveling kit. I've seen several 4x4's with this leveling kit and 325/60-18's on 18x9 wheels with 5 and 5.5 inches of backspacing. Since the MT 18x10's have 6 inches of backspacing, they should work also.

Might be a dumb question but is the 325/60-18's a bigger tire? I also didn't know about the autospring leveling kit. What all comes with that. I was going to get mine done at modifications unlimited and they said puttting spacers under and over the front springs.

325/60-18 is the p-metric sizing that most companies, including Nitto use. It translates into a 33x13.00-18 tire. The Autospring kit is a one piece leveling kit that bolts on top of your coilover shock. Skyjacker recently redesigned their leveling kit to resemble the Autospring kit. The advantage of the Autospring one piece design over the two piece leveling kits, like Daystar, is that they are much easier to install because the spring doesn't have to be removed from the shock.

Ok well i ordered it all! I only did one thing different and that is the 1.5 add leaf in the rear. Now it's going to be 18x10 mt with the 33x13 nitto grapplers. I am getting the 2.5 daystar lift in the front and the 1.5 add leaf in the rear. I was worried about doing just the front and nothing in the rear because i didn't want my truck too look as if it where sagging in the rear when i put something in it but now it will be stiffened up!!!! can't wait it will be done on the 16th. I'll have to get some pics of it when it is done........

I know i am asking this in the wrong thread, but since i have allreay posted about my truck here, and i am doing this because of the tire size different's. I am just wondering about a programmer. I was told that the super chip programmer for my 2006 is not available yet and they said there was some other one that super chip has out before u can buy that one and it is only $20 dollars more. They said it was the one where u can download new updates from the net it is the one that they come out with before the other one is released.Anyone heard of this and is it any good?

First off Awsome set-up. Superchips is good but I would recommend the Edge programmer just because it is adjustable very easy and has a display that mounts in the truck. Some people like the XCal by troyer I beleive but I don't know much about it.

I've heard of some that allow you to download updates, but I'm not familar with them. I think the Hypertech allows you do update it.

The only reason i was going to do it was because they told me it throw's your speedometer off and that effet's the tripometer. They told me it throw's the speed ometer off by the 10th's like 40 mph is 44 and so on. I just want to be able to get the correct trip ometer to read correctly. You think it really throws it off that much?

You are going to love your setup Should look sweet !

I have the same on my 05 4x4 Screw : 2.5" Autospring with 1.5" Skyjacker add a leafs. Sits just a little higher in the back and perfect when I've got my boat hooked up. You picked a great tire and rim combo, I'm still undecided on 33" or 35" tires but still saving up to do it this fall.

As for programmers to calibrate your speedo, there are cheaper options if that is all you want to accomplish. I've heard your dealer can get you back on line up to a 33" tire or there are aftermarket ones to do just that. I've run Hypertech and SuperChips in my work trucks, one is a Hemi and I really can't tell any difference in performance on any of them. The Edge is the hot item right now but seems they have monthly downloaded program problems and the Troyer set up sounds great but kind of pricey.

Welcome to the site and post some pics when you get your lift and tires.
