My brakes where fine but the made alot of noise and were dusty. I just spent the money to replace them and I am happier than ever. Gotta keep the 20's clean.

so I've heard good things about hawk pads from the mazda crowd,

I've had ceramics on my 97 F150 and organics...

hawk has, HPS, LTS and HP Superduty.... which ones are the lowest dusting, while still being quiet.

I only drive this truck p/t, just wondering if anyone can help.

Seems to be a issue becasue now that I have been looking for it, I see allot of newer F-150's and Expy's with solid black front wheels.

Anyone else have this issue ? Can anyone reccomend a quality aftermarket pad that will cut down on the brake dust ? Maybe something organic/ceramic ?? cant deal with these stock pads for much longer...

As usuall , all help is appreciated....
i'm glad to find this post. i am truly obsessive about brake dust, and was curious to see what others were doing. i've read ahead, and really don't have anything to add except to say that i had a 96 chevy tahoe a few years ago, and had a problem with brake dust.

i put ceramics on that vehicle, and it pretty much eliminated the problem.

on my 06 FX4, the problem really is ugly. i drive less than 20 miles daily and i'm washing off my wheels daily. did i mention i'm obsessive about brake dust?

'06 Reg Cab 2wd 1400 miles never noticed a problem. The fronts are as clean as the backs. I only drive 2.2 miles a day though.

I spray GT85 onto a rag and wipe my clean wheels all over
This contains P.T.F.E one of the slippiest substances known to man once the propelant dries off and dries dust has a hard time sticking
DO NOT SPRAY STRAIGHT ONTO WHEELS! coat your rotor and pads with P.T.F.E!
