LT285/75R16 Question

A few weeks ago I had LT285/75R16 Nitto Grappler tires and 16x8 wheels installed on my 2003 Ford Supercrew FX4. I am experiencing wheel hop between 40 and 45mph and the steering wheel shakes a little at around 60 to 65mph. I had the tires re-balanced, but made no difference. Because I have "lifetime" alignment service for the truck at Brake Check, today I took it in for an alignment (thinking this would help). The guys at Brake Check told me the tires were "too big" for the truck and I need to replace the shocks. Not going to happen!! They also said, because of the large tire, they had trouble getting a "true" alignment. Are they right? Or do I re-visit the tire store and have them check for a bad tire?

Thanks in advance. I now you guys are the experts.

I think thats a freaking load.....they are only about an inch taller and about an inch wider than the stock 265's , people all over the place run that size, including me. have em look at the tire.

I agree. They were trying to BS you or didn't have a clue what they were talking about. Neither one is good.
