How much of a performance change?

Hi all I recently found your forums and have done quite a bit of reading but when it comes to tires/wheels I still feel like I'm reading chinese. Anyway my question is this. I am looking to upgrade from my stock 265/70R17's to 285-50-20's on 20x8.5's and was wondering how much this will change my performance (handling, speedo,engine/tranny), and if I should be looking at making other changes to make this work. I have an 02 FX4 by the way. Also I haven't been able to find a leveling kit for my truck either if anyone could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

THose tires are about an inch shorter than your OEM tires. I doubt if you notice any performance increase because the 20 inch wheels will probably weigh a good bit more than your OEM 17's.

It may mess your speedo up. Your engine and tranny should not be affected. As far as handling it could go eather way.
