Tire Size Question

I'm looking to replace my stock 04 F150 XLT rims and tires (255) with 06 F150 FX4 rims and tires (275). My question is will the 06 rims and tires fit without the leveling kit? I'm sure it will fit, but I need to know if it will rub on turns because I don't have the 2inch leveling kit. Also will I have to adjust my speedometer? If so, how much difference in speed will 255 compared to 275 make? I know the size of the tires are really comparable, but I just wanted to make sure before I make any purchases.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks hawg_man, but it isn't a 4x4. I guess I should have added a few things to my post.

My truck is a 2004 F150 XLT 2X4 4 door Crew Cab.

Any suggestions? Should I be okay with 275 or maybe even 285?

Thank You

If you add a 2 or 2.5 inch leveling kit, you will be able to fit 285/70-17 or 285/65-18's easily.
