06 fx4 wheel question

What is the smallest diameter rim that will fit on an 06 fx4 without brake mods? Will 16's fit??
Thanks

probably not. In early 2005 Ford changed to larger calipers on the newer trucks so 17" and up may be the only way to make them fit. Some of their trucks are being sold with 20's and that seems to be the new way to go. Although putting 15's and 16's would be nice because of cost, looks and more size availability it looks like the new F150 won't allow us that option. Just my .02 cents

Smallest is 17" and some of those will not fit.

Right. You can't fit a wheel smaller than 17 inches on an 04-07 F-150. That is why there are no aftermarket wheels smaller than 17 inches with the 6x135mm bolt pattern. Also, as mentioned since Ford changed the brake calipers sometime during the 05 model year, SOME aftermarket 17's don't fit.
