Dude... That is hands down the hottest f150 I've seen on here. Absolutely gorgeous. What rim is that, how much did you pay for it, and where did you get em?

Nice ride.

So will a 305/45/22 tire fit on a 2005 supercab 2wd without any rubbing? I would rather run a 45 series than a 40...let me know, pics would be cool

BIGthangs- if you find out through another means other than this site please post it. I have been holdin off my BIG purchase for a week because of this same issue. the 45 series is definately my preference too. I believe wandell runs 45's but i am not sure if he had to do any modifying.

thanx

Ive seen them on 2wd and they looked to fit fine, a little tight up front but didnt appear to be a problem. Possibly they did the 2" front level but I think they looked stock. I'm pretty sure they would fit

24's are the way to go IMO. And no you don't need bigger brakes. My truck stops just fine.

The roads suck here in San Diego but I don't care it is a small price to pay. Everyone who rides in my trucks says it rides great. 305/35/24 but I wish those new 295/30/24's were out when iI got my rims.

235/75/17= 30.87 Diameter (stock)
275/55/20= 31.9 Diameter
275/45/22= 31.74 Diameter (2006 Harley)
275/65/18= 32.07 Diameter
305/40/22= 31.60 Diameter
305/45/22= 32.45 Diameter
295/45/22= 32.45 Diameter
305/35/24= 32.40 Daimeter
295/30/24= 30.96 Diameter

As you can see 24's are almost the same size as stock!!!!
The worst tyre to go for here is 305/45/22 as it is over 5% larger
But
Who cares I want looks and comfort so thats what i have gone for they are being imported as I type this
mmmmmmmmm
I started a thread similar to this and was sent this tyre calculator (the best one I have ever seen even shows you tyres to buy in the size you specify!)
http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp

Would not like to hit a pot hole with those 24's the side wall is 88mm just over 3" look good thou

Dont understand why you would need upgraded brakes as the overall diameter is around the same
Tyre width would put more load on the suspension under braking and also more on cornering more grip means more body roll sooooo
when you upgrade wheels and tyres with low profile wide tyres you should also upgrade your suspension
But
No point being able to go forward without stopping and if you have upgraded the tyres and suspension which if done right should improve cornering then upgrading the brakes will allow you to push the limits of your new tyre/suspension upgrades

Offset is the one to worry about KPI King Pin Inclination too much rubber on the inside or outside will be detrimental to your steering

Theres my pennies worth feel free to shoot me down

Theres my pennies worth

I'm not ever going smaller than 24's, my truck gets to much kudos, I also have the stock brakes but did, put 70$ pads on. work great stops on a dime. next mod will be lowering kit just like (crand002) his setup is sweet. Nitto 420s 295/35-24

Anybody towing BIG TRAILERS (7X14 ENCLOSED AND LARGER) with them pretty wheels? I have ordered a set of 22x9.5 with 305/40-22 tires, but I might be backing off, because 95% of the time I am towing a 7x14 enclosed trailer with 2 or 3 bikes aboard. And might be going for a 8x16 enclosed trailer in the near future. Don't get me wrong, the big wheels looks super good on the F150.. But, are they practical when towing or using the truck like a truck???
