if you want to stay around 29" id buy 20s or your smooth ride will suffer. just my .02. if your willing to go to like a 32" id go with 22s. thats what i wanted but the price difference turned me away quick.

I agree. If you go with a 305/40-22, you should be happy. Those are basically a 32x12.50-22 tire.

24's are disgusting, 22's look better on the new body style because the new body style just looks damn huge..

I have an 06 expy which is the same basic body as the 150. will the 305/45/22 fit without modification? i used to have an 02 f150 and my 22's rubbed just a little.

22's or 24's

Hi fellas...I'm new to this forum...I think the 24's would be a nice fit. I just got the TIS style 06 in 24x10 on mine and I think they look pretty nice. Stock suspension...

If you go with 24 then you need to upgrade your brake system. Bigger rotors and brakes. The 24 will eat your stock stuff up in most likely 6 months or so. I role on 22 with 305/40/22 and it is great. If you go with 24 you give up width of tire and for the 22 you get a little more side wall. IMO 22 are the way to go, but if you have the money to spend to upgrade your break system then go to 24's.

22's are where it's at. I just ordered 22x9.5's with 305/40/22 and I have 2" drop shackles for the rear.

305/45/22 or 305/40/22

Hey wandell I know you said your rims fit. But I just called to order my rims for my truck from a shop in CA. They recommended the 305/40/22 on my 22" x 9.5" rims, because several customers have complained about rubbing. I would prefer the 305/45/22 like you have for alittle more ride comfort and for rim protection because the streets here in DC aren't the greatest. Do you get any rubing on large bumps or while turning hard at slow speeds? I used to have a 02 f150 with 22" x 10" rims and they only rubbed on large dips at highway speed or while parking with hard turns.

thanx

either way id recommend upgrading brakes. not necessarily big brake kits but better rotors & pads like powerslot & hawk. yes you will feel a big difference from stock donuts to 22s, then from stock brakes to aftermarket

Why stop with 24s? Why not really bling bling and go to 30s.
