TOYO M/T's
#3
I have had the Toyo M/T 33's on the factory wheel. They weigh 75 pounds each and the ride is harsh due to the amount of PSI (54) needed to support the same amount of weight as the factory tires. I have had them for 12,000 miles and they do not seem to have worn much. I had them siped for extra traction.
The BFG rugged trail that came on the truck were rated at
P275-65/18 2365 pounds at 35 psi
and the Toyo M/T were rated at
33-12.50/18 2910 pounds at 65psi
I called Toyo customer support and they said that in order to support the same amount of weight as the factory tire, that I needed to run about 54 psi in the Toyo. Other than that they have handled well, put me through some thick clay mud and sand with no problems. not very loud either once you get going down the road. It has been a good tire so far.
