Can this tire fit?

I have seen in the past threads that everyone says that 285/75/16 will work on any stock 97-07 4x4 using the stock wheels. I have been doing research before I get my tires and I have noticed that on the BF Goodrich site, it gives the specs for their tires. It shows that a 285/75/16 need a 7.5-9.0 inch wheels. I have tha stock 16x7, so will this work? Thanks in advance.

I have stock 16s on my 98 4x4 and I have 285/75/16s so i don't see any reason why they wouldn't work for yours. My front bumper sags a little (which I need to fix) and would rub but I cut the black plastic part a little and it's fine now. I would always bring the tire and set it by the truck to see if anything may be close on the sides you might be able to see.

yeah it'll work fine, it shouldnt rub a bit with a 4x4 and stock rims, I have the 285's on my '00 4x4, with no rubbing whatsoever. I also have friends that have run 285's on stock 16x7 with no reported problems.

Thanks everyone for your help. I put on the BF Goodrich A/T 285/75/16 on the stock 16x7 wheels and they look great. I noticed when I turn the wheel, it does rub a little, so I will have to trim the valance a little. But again thanks for all the feedback.

...But do they wear any different? I'd like to get the 275's or 285's too but I want them to wear even. It seems that if the rim is too narrow the tire will bow out a bit. Is this even a concern?

theyll work. id recommend a little bit wider of tire though because you will wear faster in the center of your tread. other than that, no reason at all why it wouldnt go on

Thanks guys... I was looking at 285/75/16 Revos or 265/75/16 Revos. Judging by the responses it would appear that I should have no problems.
