Wondering if someone could help me? I have got a 2004 SD F-250 4x4 w/265-16 tires and I am changing them to a more agressive tire, like the Toyo M/T what is the max tire size I go to without cutting, lifting etc

I don't know the SD's very well, but I woiuldn't expect any problems with a 33" tire which would be something like 285/75R16.

 

Right. 33's will fit easily. I've even seen several stock 4x4 SD's running 35x12.50's by using the OEM wheels.

 

I had a 2002 SD 4x4 power stoke I put 285/65/16 toyo AT on and they rubbed alittle, but I didn't crank the torsion bar up. If I had they wouldn't have rubbed.

 

I take that back they were 285/75/16's I believe.

 

SD's don't have torsion bars...

My Dad's '00 F-250 w/heavy service suspension has had 255/85s (34x10) and now has 285/75s with no problems.

 

I thought 255/85 were 33x10?
