Hankook wear issues.
My body guy painting my car was showing me his 04 scab f-150 4x4 flare's tires, Hankook whatever's, about a 235/75/17 showing weird wear, in that it loos like the treads outer edges are chewed up. Anyone else have a similar problem? They are a very on road all season tire.

My hankooks had bad wear also. I only had about 23,000 miles on them and they looked really wore down on the outside and inside edge. I rotated them every 6,000 miles and my truck had good alignment. I just think that they are a cheaper tire Ford puts on to save money. Ford extended their tire warranty, so maybe your body guy should go back to the dealer and see if they will either replace them or put another brand tire on under warranty.

Dump the Hancooks, thier a 2 ply pass tire, If you really like your F-150, step up to a 265 70 17 light truck tire, The 245, 255 70 17 general light truck tires are garbage as well, a 265 70 17 will not effect your performance or mileage, Ford will only replace thier crap oem tires with crappy oem tires.
I kick Fords But on this one, inferno tires on a over engineered truck..

My guess is that Hankook makes a cheap OEM tire for Ford like Goodyear makes the crappy Wrangler RTS for an OEM tire. I'm running a Hankook tire with a 100,000 mile warrenty on my wife's Windstar and they are a far superior tire to the Michelins that were on it before. The ride is smooth as can be and after 28,000 miles have no wear issues. That keeps me from bashing Hankook as a company. The Goodyear RTSs that came on my '01 KR 4x4 Screw were a joke. Why on a $40,000+ 4x4 truck would you put OEM tires like RTSs? On my '97 F150 Scab, the OEMs were Generals which had to have been the worst piece of crap tires ever made. In 13 months I had 18 flats. Put different tires on, and surprise, the flats quit happening. I refuse to this day to even consider a General tire purchase. My guess is that every major tire maker with premium tires in their line also make junk to pawn off as OEM tires.
