in a previous thread one guy mentioned that usually there is a lip left on the ID where the emergency brake shoes ride...that is just outside the width of the shoes, thus that little width of ID doesnt wear , like the ID that rubs on the e brake shoes....then as time goes by rust eats away at the surface( because it isnt constantly rubbing on the e-brake pads.....soooooo
You end up with a lip, that catches on the e brake shoes as you try to slide the rotor off the lugs.
his solution is to back off the ratchet for the ebrake shoe adjustment....so there will be less if any inteferance.....I banged the crap out of my old rotors and sure enough I ripped the brake lining material off the old e-brake shoes!!!!!!!...but i was replacing them anyway.
