05 brake tsb

Thanks to all, just got my truck back from the dealer with new pads, rotors and calipers. Had 11,850 miles on the old ones and was told the cut off for replacement was 12,000. The invoice I saw was $961 for the work, good thing it was warrenty work. Now I need to get the Edge back in the truck, that drive to work sucked without it.

The Edge makes the drive much more fun. I dread having to return it to stock when I go in for service. Glad you got your brake work under warranty.

According to page 9 of the '05 Warranty Guide, brakes are covered for the first 12 mos or 18,000 miles.

What did you tell them when you went to the dealership? I just dropped off my 05 with heavily grooved rotors and they were already giving me *****.

They made me pay $32.50 just to look at if because the truck is more than a year old.

Go to a different dealer, that one is a thief.
I told them brake shudder at all speeds but worse at highway speeds, groved front rotors and a known TSB on the brakes. Fixed with rotors, pads and calipers, picked truck up next day. Brakes felt soft when I picked it up but pedel got harder after a couple of days
