Tirerack's customer survey and my own experience say Revos are better than BFG AT KO in the snow. I'm not sure how Slatersoncould go through the BFG AT KO in a year as I typically hear of 60-80k miles on them.

Fordwitflows,
I would take a good look at the Bridgestone Revos. I've gone through three Michigan winters with them on my 03 FX4. These tires are well siped and handle the snow and ice very well. I just hit 60,000 with them and will replace them at about 65,000. A lot of those miles have been put on driving up to the U.P. of Michigan to go snowmobiling. Do a search on these tires!!!!!

Blizzaks, or any other winter tire, are seasonal tires only. Not to be run in the summer. If you are concerned about winter driving and don't want dedicated winter tires, look for tires with sufficient voids to channel out slush and snow. The next thing is look for is tires that are heavily siped. These are the griping edges you need to have traction on hard slippery surfaces; like wet pavement or on ice. In my estimation, the tire that best meets these qualifications is the Bridgeston Dueler AT Revo. Another awesome tire is made by Nokian; but they are expensive and hard to find. We have Nokians on our 4wd Audi A4 and they are unbelievable. Had Duelers on my last F150 and they were awesome also. Good luck. Pick what you like but remember the things to look for. Also, "mudders" with big blocks of tread and virtually no siping are worthless on hard slippery surfaces. Happy skidding on those. They may be great for off-roading but are horrible on the road; at least slippery ones. So not knocking people's mudders but the point is pick the tire that best suits your needs. It all depends on where you live and how you use your truck.
