Mud-Terrain Vs. All-Terrain

Just bought a 3" body lift from 4 Wheel Parts, installing next week but cant decide whether to get Mud-Terrain or All-Terrain. I would really enjoy the extra traction Mud offers but im worried about the treadwear where on the other hand i dont have to worry about the treadwear with the All but wont be able to travel through some of the stuff i'd like to. What do ya'll think?

Im really leaning toward the All-Terrain cuz im think the Mud is just for people who want to switch out their tires b4 they go offroading and I would do that if I had the time and money but im one of those guys who's just like "lets go now, okay!" -jumps off curb into field-. But i would still like to hear ya'lls opinions

if you go with something like a BFG All terrain you should be able to go through anything that you would really want........those things wear like iron too. If you get a top of the line MT like the BFG, TOYO, or Gooyear MTR you could expect them to last a while too....just depends on what kinda look you are going for. Sounds like the BFG All-terrain would be the best bet for your situation though..

if your going through crazy stuff all the time, then the mud terrain, but if you drive your truck every day like the rest of us i would go with the all terrain.

I just bought some Mickey Thompson MTZ, they look sweet

Only have about 100km on them but so far I love them, the look is awsome and they are not as loud as i thought they would be. I was like you worried about tread wear but wanted the aggresive look, I've heard some good things about them so I went ahead and got them. They have handled good to date.

Good luck.

I've got the BFG MT's and have put 10,500 miles on them so far. They seem to be wearing great and are great in snow, I get them balanced and rotated every 3,500 miles or so ( Free ).

Very happy with them so far, they are wearing very good for being on a 7,700lb Expy, look great and seem to wear better than the Goodyear MTR's I had on my Bronco.

The BFG AT's last forever, but I wanted a more aggressive tire this time.

I have the all terrain and they are good except in mud. They are a nightmare in mud The way I do it, find a fairly dry area, and spin the tires to clean the mud of the tires.

AT are good on the road, not too noisy, wear is good and the ride remains smooth.

Cool

I think you'll like them, they are pretty quiet compared to the Goodyear MTR's and have good looks and performance.

I don't even hear them with the windows rolled up, with the windows down there's a little hum but I don't find it anoying.

If you have a loud exhaust it drowns out the tire hum anyways.

Enjoy

How about an aggressive looking All Terrain? ProComp Xtreme AT.
