Fordwitflows:

I say go with chrome/polished. Black would be too dark and not noticable, IMO.

Judging by where you live I would get black just because the snow/salt will destroy chrome or polished. Im ordering black rims today (Helo Maxx 6) just because of the weather.

i'm sure you guys up north already know this trick, but one thing I've done to my Jeep rims which helps keep some of the knicks and scrapes down on new wheels, is to apply a GOOD thick coat of wax. It makes them shine (not that I really cared about that on my Jeep), but it also adds another layer of protection against the elements. This could help with possibly reducing the wear and tear that the salt/sand mix does. Another thing, although I've never tried it on my wheels to combat salt, is to spray Pam cooking spray in your wheel wells to keep dirt/mud/snow/etc from sticking. It might work with wheels too...

Yup 2 layers of synthetic wax. Ive had friends use vasiline and pam also. You really just have to keep everything clean and thats hard to do when everything is frozen.

yeah definatly, I wax my wheels when I wax the body so i'm hoping i'm safe. Although all 4 rims lips have some rust that looks to be a couple years old... But I always wax the wheels too

Dude...those rims look NICE! That's more what I was talking about...something black with just enough "shine" around the edges. Not too much chrome, but enough to grab some attention if that's what you're looking for.

Hey pitvpr, what size wheels are those? Those do look really good. I'd LOVE to see some pics with the Cepec's on them.

Yeah, the wheels are 17x9, and it looks very HOT with the new (33x12.5)tires 3"taller and 2" wider with a more aggressive tread makes a huge diff. My old tires were 265/70's...

There not Black but real close. I think black wheels are the best for an agressive look.
