Another Tire and Wheel Question

Guys,

I'm really sorry about asking another Tire/Wheel Question. Heck, even I get beat down by all of the posts regarding these types of questions.

Anyway, thank you all in advance. Here are my issues that you can help with.

- I have a 2006 F150 4x4. Like most, I want to put the largest MTZ's that I can fit on my truck along with 17x9 Classic II's. Unfortunately, everyone that I've contacted has told me repeatedly that 33's are the largest tire that I can fit on my truck without a "true" lift. I'd love to fit 35's on my truck if possible. I recently had a 2.5 autolift installed. Just for clarification purposes would 35x12.50 or 33x12.50 with 17x9's with 5.5 backspacing fit and how far outisde the fenders will they stick????

PS - Also, I will be purchasing these tires/wheels online and I would hate to order the wrong size.

Curious,

Stroke

It's pretty common question. You can find it by doing a search. I picked this one out of the search.

I've read almost every post on this site and yes, you guys have answered several questions. Is it simply for "Liability" issues that these companys tell us that we can't fit 35x12.50 on a 2006+ 4x4? I've had a few companies tell me that I couldn't fit 35's on a truck with a 3inch lift as well.

Sorry for the confusion.

Snug556 has 35's on his truck as seen in the link below. Does he have a lift kit or just the 2.5 autolift? This is the look that I'm going for althougth I will also order the Classic II's with it.

What most people fail to realize is that wheel width and backspacing is as important to tire fitment as tire size. That is why people can fit 35x12.50's with only a leveling kit using the OEM 7.5 inch wide wheels with 5.5 inches of backspacing. This is a very tight fit. The same tire/lift combo will rub badly using a 9 inch wide wheel with 5.5 inches of backspacing because the wheel sticks out 1.5 inches farther.

Wandell to the rescue! So for clarification, does this mean I should use the following????

33x12.50 with the 17x9 wheels 5.5 backspacing w/ a 2.5 autolift???

Here is the exact example of what I would like my truck to look like.

His specifications are 33x13.50 and a 17 inch wheel. He failed to mention if he has 17x9's or 17x10's. What would give me this look????

Also, should I go with the 33x12.50 or 33x13.50???

Thank you again for all of your help. If I could repay the favor, I would.

Just wanted to let you guys know that I've made my purchase.

2006 Ford F150 4x4 Screw
2.5 leveling kit
33x12.50 MTZ's
17x9 Mickey Thompson DC1 or DS1 (can't remember) with 5.5 backspacing.

I'll update guys with pictures as soon as they come in.

Thanks again for all the help. Also, I haven't seen any pictures of trucks with the new Mickey Thompson wheels. How do you guys like this setup?
