Discount Tire

I just wanted to post my recent expierence with Discount Tire. I ordered the MB Motoring Senna wheels and the lugs last week. Well, DT sent the wrong lugs and the centercaps wouldn't mount. The tires were already mounted when this was brought to my attention. Call DT and they said they would send the right ones. The wheels and tires were mounted on my truck w/o the centercaps. I got home to clean them up and found a bad discoloration on the polished aluminum. Called DT back, they said no problem and sent me another whell. Three days go by and the lugs and wheel come in. I'm a little pissed at this point considering I have to take all four wheels back off, remount and balance one wheel/tire, and had to wait another three day on top of the normal delivery time. So, I'm on my way back to the tire shop and DT calls me on my cell. They tell me they are going to credit me the cost of one wheel due to my inconvienence! I was stunned. I only expected they would make everything right with no additional shipping charges. I never expected what they offered to do. To say I am a completely satisfied customer is a huge understatement! BTW, I never bought wheels online before, so this was a little un-nerveing considering the cost and past expierences with other online parts I've bought from other sites. I see why they've been in business 45 years. Now if I could only find other companies that valued their customers and reputation like Discount Tire does!

That's awful nice of them. I know where I'm getting my wheels and tires at. Thanks for sharing your story.

Great story! I purchased my wheels from Discount Tire (local store) and I was completely satisfied with their service. They had to order the wheels for my truck but the manager took the time to show me what my wheel would look like. It took him 15 minutes to unlock the storage container they were in. When it's time for tires, I'll be going back to DT.

DT and my experience

I have now ordered and had installed 2 sets of rims/tires from DT. Both times the store managers and employees were nothing but professional. The results were awesome and the products of the highest quality. Now Big O on the other hand, I was there picking up my girlfriends :cough: truck and was in awe of how bad they were. There was some lady there that had a wheel come off because they didn't tighten the lugs! Then I am all ready to go and they don't know how to put my girlfriends spare back under her rear end! Had to go someplace else so they could show me where the tools are and how to put it back. moral of the story DT over Big O every day of the week. Glad they made it all right for you and went the extra mile.

Thumbs up

Discount Tire basically has a no questions asked, NO BS return/problem policy. They take your word for it, and get the job done.

Glad things worked out for you

Discount Tire took care of me when my Akuza chrome wheels were defective. They exchanged them for a new set of MB Motoring Wheels. No problems- Great Customer Service!

I have always used DT, I was looking at some wheels and tires today and stopped by NTB, it took them about 20 minutes to get the prices then as he was showing it to me on the computer screen i see an additional 135.00 charge label extra care. When asked about this he told me since the wheels were 20 inch rims he had to use a cetified tech and a special machine to mount them and it runs about 35-36 a tire. I priced the same wheels and tires at DT and the difference was over 600.00 in DT's favor. If I get wheels it's a no brainer where i will be going

I ordered some tires from them late Tuesday, they shipped them out that day, and I got them today...they're definitely one of the fastest I've ever seen...

I bought from the local Discount Tire (a.k.a America's Tire) From the time I picked out the wheels until they were on my truck it took 4 weeks due to numerous mistakes on their part. I did get some great 20x10 wheels (chrome) with nice Yoko 285/50 tires for $1,275 so in the end it was worth the wait.

Had a great experience as well. I had purchased my combo at the end of Sept and they have some great deals at the end of every month do to quota goals. I got a set of 20X8.5 D-backs with the black centers and 37X12.5X20 BFG AT's for $2450 shipped, (they first quoted me $2850 but I told they I wasn't ready to spend that much, so they said what price would make me buy them today and I said around $2450 and they acually agreed ) the tires alone on most sites are $390-490 per tire. I haven't mounted the combo yet because I am getting my 3" BL installed next week.

I will post pics.
