Are new shocks necessary with leveling kit?

Hey all, I'm getting ready to add a 2.5" AS and possibly 1.5" AAL to my 04 fx4 and I was wondering if it was necessary or if I should get new shocks for my truck. Will the stock shocks still work with the leveling kit? Any help would b greatly appreciated.

Stock shocks should be okay, but how many miles do you have on the vehicle. Might be worth replacing the shocks while everything is apart if you have 30k or more.

The leveling kits are designed to be used with your OEM shocks. If you think you want or need new shocks, go with the Bilstiens or Rancho's. These shocks have adjustable spring preload so a leveling kit is not needed.
