motto MT700

i have a 2002 F150 4x4 with a 3" body lift, i was looking at the motto MT700 20x10 rims and 305/50/R20 or 305/55/R20 tires, is this combo gonig to be possible? i have 16x8 rims right now with 305/70/R16 tires and am unhappy with the way they look...

Yes, they will fit. I'd go with the 305/55-20's at least. They are the same height and width (33x12.50) as your 305/70-16's. You could run a 35x12.50-20 if you crank up the torsion bars and trim a little off the front bumper's lower plastic valance.

I have an 02 SuperCrew FX4 with those same wheels. I went with the 305/55/20's. I don't have a body lift, just cranked the torsion bars. Had to do some trimming of the plastic. I imagine it would be just fine with the body lift though. I would definitely go with the 305/55's though. I like a little more sidewall though. Check out my gallery to see how it looks without the lift.

figured it out, truck looks good russ, you think i can put the 60 series tire on my truck? how involved is it to "crank" the torsion bars? can this be done at home? will it need alignment after the torsion bars have been messed with?

What don't you like about that wheel/tire combo? If it's the overall diameter, it's not gonna change with the combo you are looking at. Both will be 33" (the 305/50 will be 32"). If it's the rim diameter, well then it'll be different lol.

The 60 series would put you at almost 35". I think you could fit those under there. Wandell is the major tire guru on here so you might want to send a shout out to him. He has a body lift on his 01 Screw but he's running 33's on 16x10's. As for the torsion bars, yes you can crank them at home and yes you will need an alignment afterwards. Hope this helps.
