My 97 F150 SC 2wd has decent LT 235/70/16 tires on it (on the factory chrome rims), but they're crap in winter. I want to put on some aggressive winter tires, but I can't find any in this size. The closest I can find are either LT 235/75/16 or LT 245/75/16 winter tires. I only want to run them throughout the winter and go back to my old tires in spring. Will putting on either of these two tires cause any problems for my truck (will they fit?)?

 

Either of those sizes will fit fine. They will be a little taller and combined with the soft compound of winter tires will make it handle worse on dry roads especially on the highway. Otherwise, no problems.
