Yeah, the blocks are probably easier to install. As for the Autospring, I think the confusion is that the 2.5 inch lift kit is actually a little shorter than 2.5 inches physically, but it still lifts the truck 2.5 inches.

yea i have heard the kit is only about 1.75 inches but since it expands the springs it lifts the truck a total of the 2.5". Well thank you very much, and i am doing the AS this weekend and as soon as i find some blocks i will be doing them as well, i will start to post pictures once it is all done. I want to get the 3" BL done soon too, but i need to find a shop that can do it for a reasonable price, im looking to get the BL, gap guards, and install for around 700-750, and i found the lift and gap guards for 300 so i need install around 400-450, does that seem possible?

Just added 2.5" AS an hour ago

I just put the 2.5" AS on my '04 4x4 and the front went from 37" from ground to inside top of wheel well to 39", exactly 2". It was at 2.25", then after driving and just getting back from a front-end alignment it now sits @ 39". I put it on at my brother-in-laws shop with air tools , jack stands, a much needed breaker bar in 1 1/2 hours start to finish. Truck looks great!

Sorry, didn't take any pics since several threads have good ones. Yes you can do this without air tools, it will just take a little longer. The breaker bar is a must to loosen the nut/bolt holding the shock to the lower control arm. You'll need a 30mm deep socket and a BB to get it loose. The air tools couldn't even do it. Have a buddy with you, it helps. A vice is nice when tightening the nuts on the AS spacer to the shock tower to hold everything from spinning.

Tools:
Breaker bar - did I mention that already?
30mm deep socket
18mm deep socket for sway bar
17mm socket or wrench for AS nuts
14 or 15mm socket or wrench for factory nuts at top of shock
cresent wrench
small sledge hammer or big hammer to knock ?? off the upper control arm
jack stands
floor jack to lift assembly back into place while reconnecting everything

And finally a front end alignment. Toe specs are 0.0 to .10, mine was .40" after AS installation and I had just got the alignment 3 weeks ago.

GOOD LUCK!

Oh yea, you'll want a torque wrench to tighten everything back to specs. The AS directions have the torque specs.
