Brake pad and rotor installer?

I'm going to get some aftermarket rotors and brake pads for my truck; and I was wondering where to get them installed. I do not have the know-how nor the confidence to install them myself, so I was wondering if any of you got your brakes installed by a reputable shop.

Did you find yourselves a local certified Ford shop, did you have a Ford dealer do it for you, or did you hit up a nation wide mega-conglomerate brake shop?

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I would avoid the major brake shops and the dealers. I would find a small, local mechanic and see what they would charge if you bring in the parts. Not everyone will do just an installation, they like to make a profit on the parts. There is a shop I have used here in Fort Worth that will. I would check around the independents.

Well I have heard that our truck migh be a PITA, I have looked at the front rotors on my truck only about 10k and I have no idea how they come off, but yeah I know what you mean there are alot of things that could go wrong but brakes are pretty simple but I know if you feel uncomfortable doing that since your life and your familys life is on the line if something where to fail. I have done the brakes on my old 2001 Screw and it was fairly simple.

Most brake shops will not install parts you bring in. Liability issues.

I've always done my own brakes until the last time I founda friend who did it for a case of beer.

I just did a complete pad and rotor change today on all 4. They are very easy to do. Just get a hanes manual and give it a try. Take a look.
