ABS Light

1999 F150 V6, changed my brakes over year ago, for the last couple of months the ABS light will come on while driving. After I stop and re-start it will stay off, and peroidically come on. Today it seems to want to stay on. What can I do to fix this? Thanks in advance.

That happened to my VW Passat so I took it to the dealership and they told me I needed to replace the ABS module which is like $500+ dollars...I want to see what some of the other members here say before I pull the trigger on replacing the module...I found that you can have them rebuilt for about $200...hopefully there's another fix that's simple though...good luck..

Ford's ABS module are not the most common failures on their ABS systems. This is not a VW Passat!

If you replace the module without any diagnostics, you'll deserve what you will likely get.

Select the Advance SEARCH tool, enter "RABS 4WABS" as the SEARCH keywords and my username in the correct boxes. You'll find I've covered a lot of these systems.
