What is the biggest tire I can put under my stock truck?

06 F150 Screw Fx4 stock. I have decided not to get a lift or leveling kit as of now. I would like to know what is the biggest size tire I can fit on stock 18" wheels. I would like the more off road look. I like the Maxxis Buckshots. TIA

33x12.5 with no rubbing, or for about 150$ you can do a 2 or 2.5" level up front and do the 35x12.5 its all up to you!

Right. 33's without a leveling kit, 35's with a leveling kit.

33's really? I didn't know those would fit. I have decided (for now) not to get the leveling kit due to the storys I have read about ball joints. I want atleast one vehicle I don't have to work on.

Would THIS tire work or not?? It's the only Maxxis Buckshot Mudder I see in a 18".

Yes that tire will work fine.

So you know, i have the 2.5 and installed it myself, and the ball joint isnt at a bad angle at all, and not even close to rubbing on the springs, but its all up to you, that tire will work fine.

You can get that tire on ebay as well for about 100 less for the set of for.

That tire looks like the stock size of the tires on it now. I would like to go bigger so I might have to pick a different brand tire. Any suggestions or links? Thanks guys.

The prices on this site are very good as well and free shipping on most items.

I ran 285/60/18 bfg all terains on my 04 fx4 and it looked bad a$$. Obviously no rubbing at all, yet it left plenty of fenderwell clearance for a great look. I paid 215 a tire at tiresonline.com.

Also if you have 18 inch wheels, your truck probably has a stock tire that is almost 33 inches tall.

Thanks everyone..great job. Thinking about this. I just bought the truck in July and I think the stock size is 275x65x18. I would have to take another look to be positive. If I go with the Maxxis I posted earlier, the speedo should register the same as it does now and I will just be getting the mud tire look. Which is probably what I would rather do for now. I think I'm pretty close to 33" overall with the stock tires/rims, I guess. My brother-in-law had a set of these Maxxis on his truck and liked them very much and they seemed to last a good while. I would like to have the biggest tire I can get on the 18" rims though. The only thing holding me back from a lift is the wife. She is about 5'3" and has a hard enough time getting into it now. Thanks for all the suggestions and if any more, keep them coming.

I just bought the 285/60/18 Nitto Terra Grapplers from Discount Tire for $174.00 each with free shipping. It is a comparable look but cheaper .
