I just got my FX4 rims and they look nice. I have read that the FX4 rims have a 14mm O.D. lug stud where as my original lugs I believe are 12mm O.D. 2mm is hard to see but it did seem to have a larger lug opening in the FX4 rims compared to my original rims. My question is am I supposed to use different lug nuts? I used the original ones with the washer that is built into the nut. They seemed to work fine, but I was unsure that I would be safe with those

 

Right, you need to use lugnuts for a 1997.

 

Thanks for the quick response. I am using my 97 lugnuts. Right now you can see the lugstud, I was wondering if they make a lugnut that has the washer built into it and also has the chrome cover over the nut?
