tire pressure for bfg a/t?

Hey all, my brother just got a new set of 285/65/18 bfg at's on his fx4 and wants to know what tire pressure he should be running. They are mounted on the stock 18's and wants to make sure his tires don't get any uneven wear. What do you all think? Thanks.

I run 40 psi in mine. I currently have over 50,000 miles on them with no problems.

The shop that installed them put 50psi in them (which I thought was a bit much). They are load range E if that makes any difference. Should my bro back them down to say 40 or 45 psi?

You just put a chalk line across the tread and drive around. If the line is worn on the outside, you have too little air. If its worn in the middle, you have too much.
