22x9.5...good tires?

I have 22x9.5 Liquidmetal Magma rims. What is a good tire? I really like the looks of the BFG "2", but all the reviews say that the tire "sticks" to the road good but make a lot of road noise above 50mph. Any recommendations?

The Toyo Proxes or Nitto A420S tires are aggressive looking, great handling, no noise, and should last you a while too. Toyos are less pricey (last I checked).

Good call on the Nitto's that is a bad @$$ lookin tire. Definetly getting them and a lot cheaper than the BFG's

That's a nice looking rim 1fast4.6 but I'm not likeing the 5 spoke...but the 6 spokes are sweet

Thanks for the help guys!

1fast4.6 I agree with you because that's why I like the 6 spokes on the 06. I didn't know that you had 5 lugs. complelty understandable now!

No problem

I have them on my truck and I like 'em. They sure grip like a mother F**ker. It's almost impossible to break them loose

I'm putting 295/35R22 on, they are only 3/4 of an inch taller than the stock tires, but 2 1/2" wider. That still gives me a 4" sidewall, so that the tire is not to "low profile" but till looks ok. I'm putting the Belltech 3/5 lowering kit and I hope that that is not too much for that rim/tire. Also if anyone has seen the Red and Silver 06 F150 that Stylinconcepts.com was giving away, that is the same lowing kit and size rims/tires that they put on it. So I think I should be ok.

Patrick-
keep in mind that 305/40/22 is 12" wide 4.8" sidewall total height is 31.6"

FYI for anyone to find tire info:
take the first number and divide by 25.4...that gives you the width of the tire
take that number and times it by the second numer...that gives you the sidewall height
take the sidewall height and times it but 2 and add your rim size...that gives you total tire height.

305/25.4= 12" (tire width)
12x40%= 4.08 (sidewall height)
4.08x2+22= 31.6" (total tire height)

I would highly suggest going with 305/40/22 with that drop. I have a 2/5 drop and could easily have gone a size up. You will be perfect with a 3/5 drop with 305/40/r22.

Will that tire be too wide, that's 12". Wouldn't I have to get an offset wheel to make sure that it doesn't stick out the side?, cause I don't like when they stick out.
