I want Helo Maxx 6's on my 04 F150!

Man, after looking at the pics in the 04 - 06 F150 forums, I just ABSOLUTELY LOVE those Helo Maxx's!!!
What size and backspacing should I get for a nice fit. I have a front leveling kit on the truck and its a 04 F150 FX4 with 18" aluminum wheels right now. Also, what size tires can I fit with no rubbing issues? Whats a nice looking but good wearing and good load range tire? I am putting a powerdyne on the truck this weekend so that should help with overall power. I definatley love the look of the Helo's and hope you guys can point me in the right direction..
Also, where is the best (of course cheapest) place to buy them at???
Thanks
Scott

Ive been looking at them for a few months. There back spacing and off set only come in one size (i think) and its close to perfect. I like the Nitto m/t 33-12.5-18 and it fits with a 2'' AS or bigger. I cant get chrome due to the salt after snow storms and I dont like the all black so im still looking.

I want the Chrome ones. You dont think they would hold up in the winter time if you kept them cleaned up and waxed them when you wax the truck?? I live in PA and we have lots o salt also!

2004 F150 Supercab

18 Chrome Helo Maxx6 ( 5 3/8 BS....Can't remember.....but very close to stock 5 1/2)

325-60 18 Nitto Terra Grappler ( 33in Tall, 13 wide)

Pics show the setup when I was running the daystar, bilstein, 1.5 AAL setup.
I now have the 2.0 autospring, stock shocks, and 1.5 AAL setup.

Both will fit the wheel and tire fine as long as you are running some sort of level.

Let me know if you have any questions, I've collected alot of information on them when I was getting ready to purchase.

EDIT: First two pics are without AAL, last Pic has AAL installed.

No I went through that already. I have friends that are going through it right now. They will not hold up. A friends chrome rims pitted in 6 months. I waxed and cleaned mine and they looked like crap in 1 year. Factory chrome last longer but they start to pit if you dont take care of them. I wishes they made them in painted metalic silver.

I agree. I'd go with the 18x9's with a 325/60-18 (33x13.00) all terrian tire. Some good choices would be the Nitto Terra Grappler, Toyo Open Country AT, **** Cepek Radial FC II, Mickey Thompson Baja Radial ATZ or Pro Comp Xtreme AT.

you could always get the Helo's and tire of choice and then put the stock wheels on for winter driving if your worried about the Helo's holding up when your driving in the winter wonderland?

This is the exact reason why I haven't bought aftermarket whels. The salt will really screw up the chrome from what I've seen.

I suppose this is an option, but not for me. I don't really want to have to change wheels every 6 months. On top of that, I have no room to store them because I have a '67 mustang that takes up half the garage and my wife has threatened my life if I try to take up her half.

Thats pretty funny, My garage is now storage now that my Gt is gone. I ended up getting the Black Helos and love them. I refuse to switch back and forth for the winter. Plus the stock tires arent the best for the snow.

I have the same concerns about the salt and messing up wheels. I am still concerned that the salt might still eat the black too. I see a ton of people in my area with chrome and polished wheels and I can't believe that they aren't all eaten up from the salt. I have gone back and forth a million times on what I should get that won't be eaten by the salt.

Teflon coated wheels. Ive never had any problems with painted wheels in the past.
