All you guys who have 35" tires on OEM rims, what did you do about the spare? Did you buy a 5th tire or did you forego buying the 5th in hopes you wouldn't have a flat?

 

If you get 35's for your truck, I wouldn't worry about buying the 5th tire to store....1. Because it's probably not going to mount on the underbody where the stock spare sits...and 2. Because the round-about 31" stock spare is going to do just fine getting you wherever you need to go to get the flat either fixed or get a new tire to mount in its place...

35" tires do fit under the truck. but i think its pointless...I.M.O

 

When I finally get the cash flow goin round here to get my tires and wheels I will definetly put the same size spare under it. I've seen too many guys around here not worry about getting a 33" or 35" spare only to get a flat and wind up with a burnt-up rear gear.

 

Yeah, me too, considering my spare is almost 10 years old.
