help with 22's please
hey guys i have an 02' scab 2wd with the 4.6, originally i wanted to lift it, but have decided it doesnt have enough power(dont want to regear it), so i decided i would rather put rims on it, my question is this i think i am going to run 22's on 305/40/22 toyo proxes st i am going to take my leveling kit out and i want to drop the back to level it out, but i still need it to be able to hold a couple of dirtbikes or tow a decent amount, what is the best way to do it? and what offset do the rims need to be? thanks,
Brian

If you want to lower and still maintain some payload its not that hard. You just cant use convinient shackles, b.c they dont support payload well.
you could find leaf springs from a 99-02 lightning they should lower you about 1-1.5"
Or you can replace your leaf hanger, with a hanger drop, they come in 2" or 3" Mines a 3 or 2" adjustable hanger from eibach. They are a pain to install, but its nice to know i can still carry a pretty decent load if needed.
And ive moved furniture 3 or 4 different times helpin different people. And even towed a friends car on a car dolly from uhaul (the single axle kind)

what is the difference? the hangers push the front of the leafs up into the body and the shackles do the same to the back the leafs? i would think its bassically the same. sorry dont mean to argue but the shackles just seam a lot easier, but if hangers handle weight better i will def go with them instead. just curious and by the way thanks for the help, and i am starting to think about 285/35R22s instead of 305/40s
