Wheel and Tire Set-up Questions

I am ready to make a couple buys, but want to hear some definate answers first. I have a 2000 F150 4x4, stock suspension, wheels, and tires.

The tires I am looking at are 295/75/16 BFG All Terrains, and the wheels are 16x8 black powder-coated Cragars with 5" backspacing. I was also going to crank the torsion bars after the wheels and tires were mounted. I am on a budget, and I can get this combo for a good deal. I appreciate suggestions, but this is going to have to do for now.

My question is what are your guys opinions on this set-up? How far will the tires stick out from the fender? Any trimming necessary? Thanks for the help, and sorry for all the questions...just want to be sure.

They shouldn't stick out past the fender. They should only stick out 1/2 inch farther than your OEM wheels. I doubt you will even have to trim anything.

should not need any triming with a 4x4 depending how small ur budget it ive seen 16x8 rims go for $85-90 each that were alloys you wouldnt have to worry about these rusting after a year but GM puts black rims on white trucks all the time aint that bad not my thing though

yea the black on white thing sounded a little weird to me, but I plan on adding some other black accent pieces including a soft tonneau, feder flares, and tint.

I had 33x12.50 Baja Claws and 18" M/T classic2's on my my 01 SCREW(Torsion bars fully cranked).

No rubbing, except at mild-heavy articulation off-road.

Yea a little with the rock climbing look I mainly wanted to see if you guys preferred the 285s or 295s for the rest of this set-up???
