New Tires for newbie

Hey guys, I just purchased my first F-150. Its a 2002 XLT 4x4 with 235/70/16 on stock rims. Can I put 265/75/16's on without messing with the torsion bars? Thanks for the help in advance.

They will fit easily with room to spare. Personally, I'd go with a 285/75-16 at least.

Welcome to the site! I have 265/70/16's on mine with 16x8 "rocker" wheels. Stock height.

Thanks again, I got the 265/75/16's there being put on tomorrow morning. Can't wait to get rid of the stockers. Truck looks pretty sweet Mike. My truck has the same paint scheme as Wandell's but its a supercab.

Savage:
Thanks for the compliment! My truck originally had stock steel "tear drop" style wheels w/center cap. Looked ok (not really tho). I purchased the truck used in July 04 and it had new tires on at the time. I've had these wheels since May 06. Now, I'm looking to get tires.

Most 285/75-16's are right at 33 inches tall. And yes, they will easily fit on a stock 4x4.
