brakes problem
ok. so i just replaced my pads like a month ago because they were totally gone and i almost died because of it. well lately i have been noticing that they are having some problems. whenever im at a stop my breakin seem to release. but only when the AC is on. whenever the engine revs a bit for the ac compressor, the brakes slip. and as soon as the compressor stop, they clamp back down. i cant seem to found out why this is happening. any ideas?

I had the same problem after I changed my brake pads, long story short one of the rotors was slightly warped. The pad would grap the warped part and if I lightly held on the brake and the engine rpms increased the brake pad would slip off the warped part of the rotor. I changed my rotors and I havent had the problem since. Do you have some vibration or bouncing when you apply the brakes?

If you scroll up to "user CP" in the black bar cross the top"click" - then go too "edit profile" - click click then scroll down a bit, you can fill in the blanks and then all the way down and hit "save" - Your truck will show up on the right when you post - makes it easier to comment
Thanx

What sucks, if upgrade your pads , it's harder on the rotors - The stock rotors will warp if you look cross eyed at them. Due check the booster - good idea..Your 99 has 4 - my 98 has 2 , 98's had drums in the back.
Before my brother traded his 99 in , his acted goofy after he put a KH trailer brake kit on..
If you upgrade a little on the rotors - "Brembo's" Good and Cheap and get "Raybestes Carquest 2 year Blue pads" - She'll stop sweeter than mine does right now..Stay away from Ceramics , too hard of a pad, unless u have slotted rotors..Chaching..$350 for all.
Whats happining on the one rotor is the Twin Cam Caliper isn't working correctly, each Cam is applying different pressure. Its easier to replace the Calipers 4 - $200 tho if you go that route . You could just replace the one as well. Changing the brake fluid and adding fresh will give you more stopping power yet..
