ION 165 vs HELO MAXX 6

Buying my new wheels this weekend and I can't make up my mind between 17x10 ION 165 or the 17x9 HELO MAXX 6.

What do y'all think?

Anyone wanna post some pics of either wheel with 33" or 35" Mud Grapplers on them?

Thanks!

I have the Helo 6s on 33in Mud Grapplers. I have pics if you click on the little camera to the right where the information is. I could get a close up if you would like.

Yes please. The pics are good, but a closeup would be nice. I really want to see how much they stick out with that tire, and what the rim and rim lip look like. I appreciate it.

BTW - Nice SCrew!

Thank you so much. That is exactly what I needed to see. I love that setup even more now that I have seen those pics.

Quick question though....

Have you done anything to keep the tires from rubbing? From the looks of it, it doesn't look like you have a body lift. Did you crank the torsion bars? Add an AAL or block to the rear?

The truck looks good man. Think I am going with the same wheels, even though so many people have them. It is easy to see why that is the case.

Yeah they look awesome i love them. The only thing i had to do was trim a little plastic on the lower part of the front bumper. It was a small amount, nothing to really worry about. Other than that they fit perfect.

2002 Black, Super Cab FX4

As soon as I get the wheels in and mount my mud grapplers, I will add some pics.

So, you didn't even touch your torsion bars at all? I think I am going to crank mine a bit. I just want to level it out.

Then, once the 33's wear out, I will go for the 6" suspension and 37's.

I can't wait!

Nope i didnt have to touch them. I've heard some mixed reviews about tighting them up. I know it puts the components at more of a angle and puts stress on them. Also you have to have the truck re-alined after you do it.

I love the Helo Maxx 6's and they are definitely what I am going with. All I have to do is wait until March and I will be getting them and new tires. I showed my wife the show off your rims & tires topic here and when we hot the first truck with the Maxx 6's she said those looked the best. I told her good because those were what I was getting.
