Just a quick update on the pads. It has been 6 weeks since I have had to clean my wheels and they still do not look dirty! These pads are amazing! I highly reccomend to anyone thinking about making the switch.

I just bought my Blues yesterday using the company account. Paid $38 for the front set. Can't wait to put them on tomorrow.

Well, I've driven with the pads installed now. I cleaned the wheels last night to see what they would dust like. Today I did over 100 miles city driving for work. By the end of the day they did have dust all over them but it wasn't noticeable like the stock pads. In fact, when I went to check them they looked clean to me until I rubbed my shoe on it, then I realized there was dust on there but it was hard to tell. The same amount of driving on my old pads and the wheels would have looked terrible.

They also feel like they bite more than before and it's cool lookina at the blue through the wheel. Overall, with my discount paying $38 for the pads I'm happy.

I'd like to revert my previous post. To the guys who said these pads don't dust....lol You guys must not do any driving. By the end of a few days after driving a lot in the city and highway these wheels are definitely covered in a lot of dust. Luckily, it doesn't dust as dark so it's not as noticeable but they are still dusty.

I was determined to get ceramic pads until reading what everyone said about Carquest blue semi met. I have black wheels which is horrible about showing dust. I put the Carquest pads in Sat morning and I am AMAZED at the reduction of the dust. Halfway through the week my front wheels usually turn brown. As of Wed night they are cleaner than the back wheels!!! Yes, there is a small bit of dust, but a FRACTION of what the stock ones did! I am very happy with these pads!!!! I love having 4 black wheels all the time, not 2 black and 2 brown!

I fianally took my Carquest Ceramics back after my buddy informed me there making them different nowadays and I could get a set free with my receipt - well I got them , there still in the box - I'm running Blues for awhile now after my ceramics caused uncomfortable braking and am happy with those , just letting you know they changed there ceramics .. I look on the raybestos site (the make carquest pads) and can't find any write ups on them tho , yet...

I hope you're right, honestly, that means they fixed them. Mine were fine till I reached 10k km's, dust, noise especially, but braked about the same. Even during, the dust was bad, but not unbareable. I got them because they were the best right, only the best for my cars, they're my babies. I still can't justify spending twice as much (around here anyways in cdn $$$) for the same pad. I am a firm believer in sticking with what works and I hope they do for you, that would mean like I said, they fixed the problems.

My issue with Carquest Ceramics in the past wasn't one with dust or noise - The Dang things were to hard - warped my stock rotors first day , I changed out my stockers for a hefty set of Brembo's - they didn't warp , but mannn those Ceramics didn't want stop my truck that easy . They freaking faded in PA going threw the mountains last year.

When I purchased that set of Ceramics I was under the impression I was upgrading from the 2 yr Carquest Blue Pads. I've run Blues for along time - I won't stray again, nothing compares or can compete with what you get for the price. I don't mind spending a little extra on my truck , it's got me around for along time and those Blues have save my a$$ mot than once - Hell I've been driving a 98 since 98 - no dents or dings yet - knock on wood

I 'll take a good 2 year pad anyday over the lifetimes - when I hit the skidders , I need to stop ..

Ceramics haven`t failed me yet, I`ve used them on all my modded F bodies for years and loved em.. don`t see why it would be any different on the truck only time will tell i guess. On another note,
the best mod to the brakes I`ve done on the truck is adjusting the rod in the master cylinder one and a half turn out... the brakes feel 1000% better and stop faster.. before the adjustment they felt like moosh and I had to go halfway to teh floor before they`d start to break with any force.. 20 minutes and a world of difference
